early access to the chubbycalico online shop for my substack subscribers ✶
hello old friend,
it’s been a hot minute! a lot has happened since we last spoke. i travelled across china for a month, spent a weekend tabling at an art fair, and led a massive campaign at work. i had grand plans to post a newsletter weekly and become one of those people who effortlessly “keeps up with content”. i thought public accountability might magically cure my perfectionism. shockingly, it did not.
but somewhere between all of that, i quietly built an online store.
the shop officially opens tomorrow, but i wanted to give my substack subscribers early access before anyone else. as you know, i’m a sentimental girlie and dates hold a lot of symbolic meaning. as a gemini, launching at the start of gemini season felt cosmically on brand.

and big news: chubbycalico is going global! everything is sent via good old-fashioned stamped mail, which means my art can now travel far beyond australia.
i’ve always loved the idea of art arriving in people’s letterboxes like a tiny surprise. i originally imagined some kind of mail club, but releasing limited drops in small batches felt more natural (and a little more realistic alongside a full-time job). once something sells out, it won’t be restocked, which makes each collection feel a little fleeting and special.
thank you again for being here. it still feels a little surreal that something i started making quietly in my room during covid now gets to travel around the world and land in other people’s hands. supporting my work in any form helps me keep creating, experimenting, and building this strange creative universe of mine. seriously, thank you for being part of it.
